The beauty of encaustic is how it plays with light. The translucency of beeswax allows light to enter and refract adding an emotional depth unavailable to other mediums. It’s flexibility allows for experimentation and the chaotic nature of molten wax provides texture and spontaneity which is difficult to reproduce in different media.
